Who Qualifies for Hospice Care?
Hospice care is designed for individuals with life-limiting illnesses who choose comfort-focused care instead of curative treatment.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A physician has diagnosed a terminal illness (six months or less life expectancy)
- The patient and family choose comfort care over aggressive treatments
- The patient needs pain and symptom management
- The patient’s condition has progressed despite treatments
